Blue Mountain Bistro-to-Go of Kingston will be the sponsor-caterer of the reception
High Falls, NY –Antiques, cars, tools, doors, cameras, oil cans, an ice cream parlor, an ice cream scoop, a refrigerator, the inside of a kitchen drawer, a framed iPad filled with pictures… These are some of the items on view through photography, photorealistic paintings, and trompe-l’oeuil sculptures.
The following nine regional contemporary artists will participate in the collective exhibit:

The art of Ipad/Iphone photography will be on display by the work of artists Susan Phillips, John Curry, and Frederic Ohringer. In Mr Ohringer’s work, the photograph is no longer the central part of the work but just one element along with the steel box framing the camera and the camera itself (the iPad as container and displayer of the artist’s pictures).
A discussion on iPad/iPhone photography will be hosted at Wired Gallery with these and other artists on Saturday, September 28 at 4:30 p.m. at Wired Gallery.
WIRED GALLERY promotes works by contemporary artists and artisans from Rondout Valley and beyond. It was established in April 2012 By Sevan Melikyan whose interest in running an art gallery comes from his background as an artist and marketer. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Melikyan completed his BA in Paris, France and moved to the US in 1991. He was the marketing director for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, TX for twelve years before moving to High Falls in 2009.
