Surprise! The Mark Gruber Gallery has added a short unscheduled show to its calendar of events. “Rising Stars” featuring Joyce Washor, Susan Miller, and Andrea McFarland is a 3 week “pop-up” show at the gallery that opens on Saturday, March 14 and runs through April 4, 2015. A wine and cheese artists’ reception will be held on Saturday, March 14 from 5-7 PM. The public is cordially invited to attend this free event and meet these talented artists.

These three “Rising Stars” may be new to the gallery but, in fact, they are well established, much loved artists from our region.

Joyce Washor has been featured in articles in American Artist and International Artist Magazine. Among her many achievements, “Big Art Small Canvas” was published by North Light, 2006.

Well collected, award winning and on the Art faculty at SUNY New Paltz since 1999, Susan Miller connects us to traditional landscape in a very contemporary way.

Using vibrant color and attention to detail, Andrea McFarland burst upon the regional art scene not long ago from Oregon. Now a resident of the area, her work has garnered much praise among all who experience her paintings.

The Mark Gruber Gallery is located in the New Paltz Plaza, New Paltz, NY 12561. Gallery hours are: Monday 11-5:30; Tuesday-Friday 10-5:30; Saturday 10-5; Sundays by appointment. For more information, please contact Mark Gruber at (845) 255-1241.
